Cordova Electric installs meters in all business and residential buildings. Meters are read on a monthly basis.

To get an idea of how much electricity you are using, record the number on your meter. One month later, check the reading again. Subtract the first reading from the second reading. This is the number of kilowatt hours you used during the month. You can compare this number to CEC's rate chart to estimate the cost of electricity for a month.

If you are moving into an existing home or business, CEC can give you an average of past electric useage.
