Notice: 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting

 CEC will be hosting a Virtual Annual Meeting this year due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. The virtual meeting will take place on Monday, March 22, 2021 via Zoom. You may pre-register for this meeting by visiting cdv.to/register or using the QR code provided in your Annual Meeting packet, which will be coming to your mailbox soon. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. with the business meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. We anticipate the meeting lasting approximately one-hour. Drawings for prizes will take place the following day and to be eligible for a prize you MUST be a participant in the Zoom Annual Meeting.

The CEC Nominating Committee has six members that have agreed to run for a Director seat. Members will elect three members to the Board to serve three-year terms. Current Directors whose terms expire in March of 2021 are Robert Beedle, Scott Pegau, and Stephen Phillips. To be eligible to become a Board Director you must be a Cooperative member in good standing (you cannot be delinquent in payment of electric bills or other amounts due the Cooperative) and bona fide resident in the area served or to be served by the Cooperative; and you may not in any way be employed by, or financially interested in, a competing enterprise or a business selling electric energy. Only current members will be eligible to vote.

CEC is proposing three Bylaw changes pertaining to meeting of members, Board meetings, and some general housekeeping edits. 

Ballots of members may be mailed or dropped off in the CEC drop box outside the administrative office and must be received at the Cooperative headquarters in Cordova, Alaska, no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day of the Annual Meeting, March 22, 2021. 

If your authorized voting member(s) have changed please stop by the office to update your membership card, or give us a call to discuss who is an authorized voter on your account. Businesses other than sole ownerships are also encouraged to come by our business office to update their voter authorizations.
