Cordova Electric Cooperative (CEC) is soliciting proposals for design/build services on two hydroelectric projects in Cordova, Alaska: the Humpback Creek (HBC) Storage Project and the Crater Lake (CL) Water and Power Project. A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on August 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM Alaska Time; email Mark Olson at molson@tothassociates.com to register.
Questions are due by September 4, 2025, to the contacts listed in the RFP.
Proposals are due September 25, 2025, via email to the contacts listed in the RFP with the subject line “Proposal for CEC Hydro Projects.”
CEC reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive minor irregularities, or award all or part of the work based on price and schedule.

Cordova Electric Cooperative is accepting bids for a 1998 Caterpiller 416C Backhoe with 10,600 hours sold as-is, where-is. The minimum bid is $15,000.
Comes with three extra buckets for the hoe, extra front and rear rims with tires, and numerous other parts and pieces. Needs new front engine accessory drive cover (not provided), new water pump (provided), parking brake pads (provided), repairs to rear boom arm (needs to be welded or replaced).
Backhoe must be removed from CEC property no later than Friday, September 11, 2026.
